BUGPLEX-rclone

Privacy policy

Updated: 31 October 2026

1. Scope

This policy covers BUGPLEX-rclone, Vladimir Izhukov's personal rclone configuration for reading Google Drive and playing media in Plex. This public website contains only an application description and this policy.

2. Access and data processed

With the Google Account owner's consent, the application receives OAuth tokens with the drive.readonly permission. The permission allows viewing and downloading Google Drive files accessible to that account. The operational configuration uses shared drives selected by the owner. The application processes file contents and metadata, including names, identifiers, paths, sizes, dates and other details needed to browse and read files. It does not request Gmail, contacts or calendar access.

3. Purpose of processing

Data is used to browse folders, read media files, cache data locally and play media through Plex. The application does not upload, modify or delete Google Drive files. Google data is not sold or used for advertising or AI model training.

4. Storage and protection

OAuth tokens are stored in the media server's rclone configuration with access restricted to the system account and administrators. The local cache may contain unencrypted copies of data read. Logs may include timestamps, status, errors, paths and file metadata. Cache eviction follows configured size and age limits; logs and Plex metadata remain until the owner removes them. This public page does not collect OAuth tokens, has no sign-in forms and loads no analytics systems.

5. Transfers and third-party services

Google Drive provides the cloud file source. In the current configuration, HTTPS connections to Google pass through an SSH tunnel on the owner's VPS; network and VPS providers may process connection metadata. Read files and metadata are available to the local Plex Media Server for cataloguing and playback on the owner's devices. Google and Plex services are also governed by their own policies. The application does not create public file links or send files to this public website.

6. Revocation and deletion

Access may be revoked in Google Account connection settings. Revocation stops further access through the connection but does not remove existing local cache, logs or Plex metadata. Remove these separately using the relevant applications, or contact the owner. The application does not delete source files from Google Drive.

7. Contact and changes

Data, access and deletion enquiries: bigbugrus@gmail.com. This policy is updated when the application purpose, data or processing changes. Additional permissions require separate consent from the account owner.
