GK Monitor Backup

A GardenKlad utility for storing encrypted backups in the owner’s Google Drive. The account owner authorizes access through Google OAuth.

Purpose

GK Monitor Backup transfers pre-encrypted server archives to Google Drive, checks uploaded file metadata and supports backup management. It is a utility for the owner’s own systems, with no public sign-up.

Google Drive access

The application uses the drive.file permission. It can work with files created by the app or explicitly shared with it by the user. It does not request full access to all Drive files, Gmail, contacts or calendars.

Backup protection

Archives are encrypted before upload. The private decryption key is kept separately by the owner and is not supplied to the upload application or uploaded to Google Drive alongside the archives.
